NAFTA Reconciliation
Pedraza offers this service in which duties are refunded to the importer. This is done when Pedraza files a reconciliation summary with CBP at the end of the year. The report details part/products which qualify for duty preference throughout the year but may have paid duties at some point within that year.
Value Reconciliation
Many elements of a transaction may be undeterminable at the time the merchandise is entered. For example, the final value of the equipment provided as an assist may not be known until the close of an accounting period, so the correct value of the merchandise is not known until that time.
Customs allows importers to import merchandise with an estimated value with the understanding that the importer will determine actual cost and submit this information according to what CBP has determined.
